Referral program terms
Referral program
Referral payments are regulated on a state-by-state basis. Unfortunately, our referral program is only available in Texas right now, which means that we can’t pay you for referrals if you or the person you refer live in another state, territory, or country. In addition, you must be a U.S. resident. LOOP employees may not participate in our referral program.
Earning your reward
In those states where our referral program is available, we will pay eligible individuals a $25 reward per referral, up to a maximum of $250. The reward can be redeemed in a variety of non-cash payment options (such as gift cards). You must use your personalized referral link to refer your friends or family members.
After your referral link is sent and your friend or family member is approved for a policy ( using the link you provided), you will receive a message from Tremendous, an independent, third-party that provides payouts for the referral program. You must accept the message and select a form of payment via the Tremendous platform in order to earn the referral reward. Failing to complete all the aforementioned required steps will prevent you from earning the referral reward.
Who to refer
You can refer a friend or family member. You cannot “refer” yourself, your spouse, or any other resident of your household. When referring a friend or family member, you can tell them about LOOP and that we offer a great car insurance product, and about our mission, but you cannot get into the nitty gritty details of describing things like coverage amounts or rates. You must leave it to us as the licensed agent to help your friend or family figure this stuff out.
Getting paid
You earn your reward when your friend or family member qualifies for an offer, and you complete the required steps to earn the referral (as detailed in the Earning Your Reward section), whether they choose to purchase a policy or not. We do not pay for referrals when your friend or family member does not qualify for an offer, does not reside in Texas, resides in your household, or your policy is no longer active.
Referral limits
Once a friend or family member applies for coverage and gets an offer, they can’t be referred again by a different person or again by yourself. The first referral link the friend or family member uses will be the one that counts. Referrals are tracked by the details in the quote, and multiple quotes from the same person or household will not result in multiple referral payments.
You cannot publish or distribute your referral link on websites or on blogs with the primary purpose of soliciting referral fees. You cannot “spam” anyone with referral invitations. This includes mass emailing, texting, or messaging people you do not know or using automated systems or bots through any channel to distribute your referral link. You are prohibited from paying to advertise your referral link. You also cannot pay your friends, or family members to apply for coverage or share your referral fee with them.
We may make changes to, suspend, or terminate our referral program or your ability to participate in our referral program at any time for any reason. We reserve the right to investigate all referral activities and suspend accounts or not pay fees if we notice any activity we believe is abusive, fraudulent, or in violation of these Referral Program Terms or our website Terms.
* This program is not available outside of the state of Texas. The referral fee is $25.
